Primary Job Responsibilities
List and describe the essential responsibilities of the position for which the individual is held accountable.

Be part of the PayPal Risk Product development to Implement new tools and features using C++ and Java in Apache/Linux environment.
Enhance and maintain existing product capabilities
Create detailed technical design documents and participate design reviews.
Play an active role in implementing and providing feedback on new processes
Provide technical guidance, assistance to other software engineers.
Adhere to release/project schedule and milestones.
Design core, backend software components that interact with databases and other services.
Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
Work with various cross functional teams like QA, Product and BU and come up with effective processes and solutions to solve business needs.
Ability to work in a team as well as independently and deliver on aggressive goals individually as well as a team

Job Requirements
Knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and education required to perform job.
Experience of more than 6 years in software development
Excellent C, C++, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting skills.
Great communication skills
Experience working with remote development teams
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, complex development environment with short turn-around times
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to appropriately prioritizeExtensive experience building and designing large-scale server applications
Prior knowledge of Payments Industry is a plus.
Prior knowledge of Risk Management and Fraud Detection technologies in the Payments industry is a huge plus.

Education
BSCS or BSEE or Other Related 4yr Technical Degree
