The qualified user experience design candidate will work independently and with other experience team members to help shape the future of online payments. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of design in respect to creating simple, elegant, user-friendly interfaces based on user-centered design principles. This person will be responsible for all stages of user experience design throughout the product lifecycle ensuring a compelling structure that meets structural standards, business and user requirements (spanning user interface, interaction and visual design). Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills are a must.
We believe in design recommendations that are research and analytics driven. We would expect you to be able to conduct research activities such as, expert reviews, benchmarking, competitor analysis and quick and dirty user testing, as well as align closely with the analytics team to inform and back up your design recommendations where needed and possible.
As a User Experience Designer for the UED team, your job is to be an ambassador to the user experience. By taking a proactive approach to designing rich prototypes, you and your team drive end-to-end experiences through a thoughtful end-user approach. This is a seasoned role with the excitement to design for a key business initiative. The designer is a key partner in helping visualize the business, the product experiences and proactively iterating on these models and simulations to move the product forward.
Job Requirements - Roles & Responsibilities:
Working closely with a cross-functional team to assess product requirements, the user experience designer will translate requirements into concepts and elegant user design, interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience for various online payment products
Organize these design details into a complete user experience design specification to be used as a blueprint for development
Work closely with user research team members to better understand the user by testing the usability of features and conceptual designs
Have practical experience employing user-centered design methods
Have a good understanding of executing to Brand guidelines to influence a rich user experience for a global market.
Have confidence and experience in presenting design ideas and recommendations design ideas and recommendations to Product teams.
Be self-motivated, self-driven and able to make logical decisions to ensure the overall success of the project by creating designs that seamlessly address customer and business concerns and objectives
Keep abreast of current design tools, techniques, methodologies and technologies (e.g. HTML 5, design for mobile)
Be willing to challenge traditional design thinking and look for new and innovative ways to approach design projects and improve or streamline the user experience
Be a thought leader in their area of specialization and mentor other designers
Conduct user research activities and work closely with the user research team members to better understand the user by testing the usability of features and conceptual designs.
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
